There is a saying 'Don't take life too seriously'. There are more planets in the universe than there are grains of sand on the coast. Our Mother Earth is that grain of sand and we live on it. So whatever our achievements as humans, namely creatures that live on a grain of sand, will not really matter to the universe unless everything we do is oriented towards the infinite salvation of the universe. Boasting with whatever advantages we have including position, wealth, intelligence, handsome faces, power, strength are things that humans are not smart to do, moreover if the way to achieve them in an improper way.
Everything we have belongs to the universe, belongs to the Supreme Being and can be taken back at any time, even including our souls. When a tsunami must occur, it takes thousands or even millions of human souls at once, nature doesn't care if you are rich, smart, beautiful, have a position, etc. Humans are like a collection of ants who are simply doused with a bucket of water all washed away. Covid, the HIV virus is a very tiny creature that has been proven to have taken many human lives. This virus teaches humans that humans are not worthy of being arrogant with whatever they have. Those who felt the smartest before Covid were the least smart. Who feels the greatest is nobody. Those who feel that their plans had always succeeded before Covid, even as if they deify themselves to be helpless. The slogan man can plan God determines ultimately applies here. Our job is only to do with sincerity, not to be bound by the results of being valid by the virus. Humans who feel bragging because of their much larger body size are discouraged by the tiny virus.
So stop being so serious about life. We do not know when we will vanish from this earth and the soul must continue the eternal journey to the next stage. At least the last memory is filled with truth, goodness, loyalty, purity of practice and happiness as the true nature of the soul, namely true happiness and freedom. Make every moment in life happy. Happy for yourself, for others, for the universe and all of its contents. Choose the mode (mood), feelings, happy thoughts in any condition. Do not pursue success at the expense of happiness because soon or tomorrow you may not be here. After all, success has a lot of faces. And in the end the most successful people are actually the ones who choose to be unconditionally happy every time.
