In Bali or in Indonesia people call our Earth as Ibu Prtiwi. She is Goddess that provides us lives. Her role really resembles our biological mothers. She feeds us with all sources she posseses. She holds us all with her gravity. She takes care all of us, all creatures on her. She supports us with her affection.
When I ponder about our Mother Earth. I sometimes ask myself. We have been
taking so much from you mother. What can we give you in return for your
kindness to all of us? We pollute her everyday with our trash. How long can you
hold it mother? This has always been my question. We keep building on her. For
me, she is a living mother that probably has her limit to support us, to
support our insatiable senses.
I went to the beach the other day and, I found vast of trash over there.
Inorganic trashes like plastics, bottles etc. Oh my God, is this the way we pay
back the kindness of our Goddess Earth? Being her children, we all are
responsible to take care of her for she can take care of us longer. I always
pray for you mother because if we all are conscious that your salvation merely
means our safety and well being, it means we all have to take care of you.
