When in every thought, talk and deed you are applying Dharma or righteousness, higher being (s) will lead your life into a self-consciousness that's called Cetana.
In the other hand, if your thoughts, talks and deeds are following your ignorant ego, you'll be getting away from pure consciousness and, this is called Acetana or unconsciousness.
Once you understand oneness where God is in every being, this consciousness is derived from higher knowledge or Para Widya that's called Jnana. Meanwhile, the knowledge that we use to manipulate anything is called Apara Widya or lower knowledge.
Jnana or higher knowledge or pure knowledge can only be acquired by keeping your thoughts, talks and deeds noble.
All life's purposes including Artha (prosperity) and Kama (desires) must be acquired by applying pure knowledge for they bring eternal happiness.
